Breaking the Barriers
As different studies show, the main barrier between first symptoms and effective treatment/management of hemorrhoids is embarrassment (over 63%-90% patients experience that). Especially among the younger generation.
We developed a system which can help to estimate the current risk of intervention needed and help patients to make more effective decisions on the treatment steps.
Questionaire
The full process is divided into two parts.
As the first part of the assessment, we use questions to identify risks and red flags, which might show a correlation with anal cancer. This risk assessment quiz is used among all the practitioners around the world as part of the examination. If we detect any red flags (such as dark blood, fever, etc), we immediately inform patients about the need for a physical examination and provide them with information about the risks that might be associated with their symptoms. This part of our examination makes the first level filtration and provides clinically relevant information for the decision-making process for the patient.

Ai Model

We spent months developing the only available AI model for hemorrhoid patients. This is an image recognition model that was trained on a large database of clinical hemorrhoid conditions. Nowadays, this model is the most sensitive in the world for the detection of hemorrhoids.
We use it in the second part of the clinical evaluation. We ask the user to upload a photo of the anorectal area. We understand how sensitive and uncomfortable it can be, which is why we use strict cybersecurity protocols to have limited access to your photos and ensure that they are stored securely, and if at any time you inquire, all of them can be permanently deleted from our servers.
As soon as the photo is uploaded, our model processes it and responds to your specific conditions. The model has a clear understanding of the conditions from the photo. AI HEMM is designed to reduce the number of non-examinations due to embarrassment and help patients to evaluate their specific risk.
Regulatory Status

HEMM AI is a Software as a Medical device for the diagnosis of hemorrhoids and is under MDR regulation within the European Union. The product is intended to diagnose hemorrhoids using a smartphone and through an image recognition model. The risk class is 2a, which requires involvement of the Notified Body in the process.
